The completion of a new Malaysian plant in the near future will enhance
production capacity.
KAMI ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. Was established in 1987
as a wholly-owned subsidiary of KAMI ELECTRONICS IND. CO., LTD. It chiefly
supplied our customers in MALAYSIA with high power transformers for audio-visual
products, and information and communication equipment. It has earned a
reputation for being a reliable supplier of high quality transformers for
more than thirteen years in Malaysia, where a number of production facilities
of Japanese electronics companies are located. Indeed, demand from our
customers has grown to such an extent that we are constructing a new plant
which will start operations by the end of 1995. One of the features of
this plant is production line that has been designed to handle limited
production of a variety of products, and this has raised expectations among
our customers. At present, the existing plant employs 300 people and manufactures
600,000 power transformers and 50,000 switching transformers each month.
